Caves of Faribault wasn’t getting credit for their rich history, special location, and unique aging process, so they sought a packaging redesign that not only tells their story, but also unifies all varietals and under a cohesive design system, while standing out from the cluttered competition.
Focusing on what makes this brand special, we created a hand-drawn sketch of the scenic Minnesota caves as seen from acrossthe Straight River. Framing the illustration, a bold ring houses specialclaims communication about location and aging processes, with the brand acting as the keystone which holds the entire label together. The use of hand-written typography, distressed textures, and sophisticated color reinforce the hand-made, cave aged, premium quality of these products.
